As importer, Direct Import Europe carries the obligations attached to placing products on the European market. Our partners inherit products that are documented, identified and traceable.

Importer's obligations

We ensure that the products we import carry the required conformity marking and are accompanied by the technical documentation and instructions required for the European market.

Product identification

Each reference carries an EAN/GTIN barcode, and shipping units carry their own identification, so products can be traced from container to customer.

Technical documentation

Specifications, dimensions, weights, materials, safety information and user instructions are kept on file and supplied with the product data.

Inbound checks

Deliveries are checked against the order and the conformity file before release, and non-conforming goods are held.

Producer responsibility

Obligations linked to packaging and to specific product categories in the markets where we place products are managed as part of the import process.
